Helping veterans across California.

I created a bunch of videos and social media ads for CalFresh, a government agency that offers veterans money for groceries.

Teaching kids how to stay calm.

The Dragon Song.

For First 5 California, I promoted a kid’s breathing technique called dragon breathing by turning it into a song.

I wasn’t involved in the making of The Dragon Song video. The melody and the personality of the song didn’t survive the shoot. HOWEVER, I’m keeping it on here because of Snoop Dogg. YES — Snoop!! — adapted The Dragon Song to make a kid’s animation piece via his production house Doggyland.

The Dragon Song inspired people to create their own videos, which were loved by tens of thousands of followers on social media.

The Dragon Song landing page

I wrote the headlines and copy for The Dragon Song landing page. It even included an interactive breathing exercise. Please click on the “Website” button to try it out.

Worn out racing hearts

Vermont Government client Check Yourself wanted an animation warning party goers about the dangers of mixing stimulants with alcohol — how it can put a strain on your racing heart.

The following video is the animatic, pre-actual video being made.

First 5 California socials

I wrote the branded posts including GIFS and carousels that appeared on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter. As the voice of the brand, my writing had to be clear for audiences of English and non-English speaking backgrounds. The tone of voice was clear, relatable, warm and friendly.

Warning teens about fentanyl

With the fentanyl crisis soaring across the United States, I helped to develop a multimedia campaign informing teens that regular-looking pills and powders have deadly grains of fentanyl laced into them.

See the links for a sample of Instagram posts, in English and Spanish, including GIFS.
